Finding a church is never easy and often requires a great deal of patience, especially if you’re moving to a new area; however, if you’re looking for fun activities in Dallas TX, there’s no better place to start.
Dallas TX is home to a wide selection of churches, especially in the Uptown area; however, finding the right one can take a long time. Before you make your decision, visit these 6 churches and see which one is the best fit for you.
Trinity Church
The Trinity Church opened its doors in 1995 after Pastor Joe and Nancy Martin raised $1.2 million to purchase the property. Trinity Church has a rich history and is constantly striving to improve the community with its outreach program which aims at raising $1 million per year.
Church of Incarnation
The Church of Incarnation was founded in 1879. It boasts a 5 acre campus and has a volunteer force in excess of 1,800. The church runs many accredited courses in bible studies and donates over $1 million per year to the local community. This outreach program does everything from help schools in financial need to providing food and shelter for the homeless.
Reunion Church
Formed by Pastor Richard Ellis in 1997, the Reunion Church started in an office building and only had 10 members. After four years of substantial growth, the church relocated to the Dallas Convention Center. The vision of the Reunion Church is to spread the word of Jesus on a global scale. In order to get their message heard, they often donate money to Christian media.
First Church
The First Church has a large community of worshippers and hosts energetic services. Upon joining the organization, followers are invited to the FirstStep Lunch, which is a social event specifically designed to help newcomers get to know other members and integrate into the community.
Fellowship Church
The Fellowship Church is run by Christian superstar Ed Young. With 14 books in his name and numerous radio and television appearances, he’s one of the most dynamic pastor’s in America. The church itself is one of few in Dallas TX to have international reach, with established organizations on both sides of the Atlantic.
Holy Trinity Catholic Church
The Holy Trinity Catholic Church is currently celebrating its 100th year. The organization is located in the Oak Field area and is known for its outreach program which allows anyone to take part, regardless of faith.
Visiting church is often overlooked; however, it provides the perfect atmosphere if you want to meet new people and integrate into the local community. When you visit a new church, give it some time, as you may not feel comfortable straight away. Visit at least 3 times before you make a decision or move on to another organization.
