Downtown

Downtown is truly the heart of Dallas TXand has everything from shopping to nightclubs. Known for its skyscrapers, the Downtown area is certainly one of the most recognizable places in the city. Elevator rides to the top of the Reunion Tower are one of the most popular pastimes in this area, especially among tourists.

Highland Park

Highland Park, aka “the Beverly Hills of Texas,” is one of most historic areas in Dallas TX. Along with an array of world class restaurants, Highland Park area has the Spanish Complex, which contains designer boutiques and a large selection of Spanish art.

Design District

The Dallas Design District is world famous for its interior design showrooms and art galleries. This area has the densest concentration of showrooms in the US and is thought to be the best place for budding interior designers to work and study.

Arts District

Dallas has one of the most vibrant arts scenes in the country. The arts district is over 68 acres and harbors museums, concert halls and restaurants. Popular attractions include the Nasher Sculpture Center, which is home to a stunning garden and some of the world’s most famous 20th century sculptures.

Uptown

McKinney Avenue is the most popular hotspot in the Uptown area. A free trolley service is available to take visitors to and from the Design District. Uptown has Dallas’ largest concentration of clubs and restaurants, making it the nightlife capital of the city.

The West End

The West End is one of the most frequented tourist hotspots and the best places to experience Texan culture. The streets are filled with barbecue and Tex-mex aromas from the abundance of grills and restaurants. The Sixth Floor Museum and Wild Bill’s Western Store are some of the primary attractions in this area.

Oak Lawn

Located near Highland Park, Oak Lawn is filled with gay and lesbian bars, clubs and shops, thus giving it the nickname “gaybourhood.” The crossroads between Cedar Springs Road and Throckmorton is where most of Dallas’ gay activism takes place.

Greenville Avenue

Greenville Avenue is one of the oldest parts of Dallas TX. The most popular attraction in this area is the Granada Theater, which is a renovated cinema from and 1930’s that hosts some of the world’s most respected musical acts in the country.

Victory Park

Victory Park is located Northwest of Downtown Dallas and is the most modern part of the city. It has over 75 acres of shops, attractions, nightclubs and high-end apartments and is constantly developing.
