The 47th annual Turkey Trot will take place on November 27 at City Hall Plaza. The event will begin at 9 a.m. and expects to draw over 40,000 spectators and participants. The Thanksgiving tradition presents an opportunity to introduce your service or product to the largest gathering of families and friends while showing your support in reinforcing the community.
Before joining this event, ensure you take the appropriate amount of time to prepare and train, so you can enjoy yourself without over-exerting or hurting yourself. The event mainly comprises the 8-mile and 5k racecourses. The 5 k walk/run can accommodate everybody in your family, neighborhood, and workplace.
Gather your friends and family for this exciting event. Originally, the 8 mile event started with 107 participants; this has since changed to more than 36,000 participants. This course draws some of the best runners worldwide. Even if you are not a walker or runner, the event offers fun activities for your guests to enjoy including clowns, live music entertainment, pony rides, and much more. Expect to enjoy refreshments and delicious fruit as a participant.
Macy’s Tree Lighting Celebration
Featuring Carolina Kostner, an Olympic skater, Macy’s Celebration will take place at Galleria, Dallas. Every show will feature Missile Toes, live performances by National champion and Olympic skaters, and Galleria’s ice-skating. Olympic medalist, Carolina Kostner will open the holidays with a special performance on November 28 at noon.
Local children will also perform around the illustrious Christmas tree. This year’s event will also feature guest skaters including Olympic Gold Medalists Charlie White and Meryl Davis. Following the grand celebration, the public will have an opportunity to attend an autograph session with the featured skaters from 6: 45 p.m. – 7:45 p.m.
You will get the chance to meet and obtain an autograph from the featured skaters with a purchase of $25 or more. Your guests will undoubtedly enjoy the ice skating show over the Thanksgiving holiday.
Slappy’s Holiday Circus
Experience a classic circus with magic, contortionists, puppets, and jugglers in a fun show that your guests and family will enjoy. Slappy’s Puppet Playhouse provides some of the best entertainment for children.
Located in Galleria, Dallas, Slappy’s Playhouse is a distinct theatre that presents funny and original productions of marionettes and puppets. They specialize in European marionette shows that feature distinct handcrafted puppets produced by in-house artists.
