Untapped Festival
Scheduled for November 1, the 3rd annual Untapped Festival will occur outside Gilley’s in Downtown Dallas. Fans expect the biggest event with the most eclectic lineup of music and impressive list of beers.
The event will highlight the ongoing growth of the Untapped brand. Untapped aims to bring the finest in emerging music to veteran beer drinkers and initiate exciting and new beers to receptive music fans. The brand further aims to bridge the gap between music and beer communities while celebrating artists.
This year’s lineup comprises CAKE, Deltron 3030, and Shovels & Rope. The beer list will comprise more than 200 highly sought-after, distinct craft beers from over 70 breweries and will mirror the special and premium selections festival enthusiasts anticipate from the brand. The event will use The Loft’s expansive patio to highlight the Dallas skyline dramatically.
Dallas Dance Festival
The Dallas Dance Festival (DDF) is set to take place from November 6-9. The event will feature workshops and dance competitions through the weekend. You can enjoy various workshops ranging from Swing to Country.
The event will take place at Sheraton Grand Hotel. This year’s event will once again issue cash awards as well as special prizes for top students. The event will further provide various programs including Line and Couples, Open Dancing, and Pro-Am.
Every division will also receive placement prizes as done in the past. Additionally, the event will offer the Wayne Bonham Scholarship to the top female and male amateur dancers.
Romanian Food Festival
The annual festival offers you a chance to enjoy the flavors of Romanian foods. From “ciorba” to “carnati” and “sarmale” you have a wide range of dishes from which to select in addition to traditional specialties.
Set for October 31-November 2, the Romanian Food Festival will draw Romanian enthusiasts from DFW area. Initiated by Rev. Dumitru Paun in 2006, a group of zealous people maintains this tradition today.
You will have the opportunity to enjoy authentic food, live Romanian dances and music. The event will also feature exhibits, handcrafts, and kids’ corner. The social hall will have a tapestry exhibition that will demonstrate amazing art by Romanians.
Carrollton Festival
Scheduled for November 1, Carrollton Festival will take place at the Switchyard. From the wide appeal of family-friendly activities to big-name entertainment, the event will draw various participants.
The 5th annual event honors the crucial role played by the railroad in putting Carrollton on the spotlight. The festival also mirrors the ongoing significance of rail in the city’s life. Residents and visitors can enjoy various concerts, activities, and games at no cost.
Lakewood Home Festival
Scheduled for November 14-16, Lakewood Festival started in 1976 following the tour that showcased five historic and distinct neighborhood homes with the aim of fundraising for the purchase of playground equipment. The sponsors of this year’s event include Tom Thumb and Comerica Bank.
