Dallas

Fall in Dallas is usually a welcome break from the cold temperatures and it’s equally the time when the metroplex shifts to non-stop events leading up to the holiday season.

Fall is the best season to visit this city because the weather is much bearable. If you’re planning to visit Dallas, you’ll discover that it’s among the top destinations worldwide for various reasons.

Besides the friendly ambiance, there’s a lot to see and do in the fall. Here’s a list you might want to consider in the fall.

1. Dallas Arboretum

Situated minutes from downtown Dallas, this attraction is home to one of the most remarkable floral festivals during the fall. During fall, you’ll see world-famous displays of ornamental shrubs, seasonal flowers, and plant collections.

The gardens further host concerts, seasonal festivals, educational programs, and art shows.  The fountains and exquisite sculptures add to the fun and you can enjoy some exploring around White Rock Lake Park, which is surrounded by miles of biking and hiking trails. Plus, it’s renowned for excellent wildlife and bird spotting along with sailing and fishing experiences.

2. State Fair of Texas

This attraction has been a Dallas tradition for over a century. It’s no wonder it draws millions of people with its classic carnival rides and award-winning casserole fritters.

The 24-day yearly event promotes education, agriculture, etc. at Fair Park. You’ll enjoy family fun, festivities, attractions, and endless activities.

3. Dallas Zoo

The attraction houses over 2,000 exotic animals from various species in a range of habitats. The fun attraction appeals to families and is only three miles from the city. Its establishment in 1888 makes it one of the oldest American zoos.

The zoo focuses on two key regions-the Wilds of Africa and ZooNorth. Some of the highlights include Giants of the Savanna and bird displays. Another attraction that draws kids is the Amusement Park, which comprises free-falling rides and bungee jumps.

You’ll have an opportunity to learn about different animals and other intriguing things about nature.

Moreover, the attraction has enough activities in-store, for instance, campers have a chance to familiarize themselves with different sea creatures and understand their environmental significance. This option is great if you’re seeking wholesome activities with your kids.

4. The Nasher Sculpture Center

The Center features a collection of contemporary and modern sculptures, featuring exhibits that explore the history of sculpture. Situated in the center of the Dallas Arts District and steps from the Dallas Art Museum, it features a range of huge outdoor sculptures.

The Sculpture Park and museum host events regularly, including concerts and lectures. The nearby Trammell and Margaret Crow Collection is worth visiting as well. Situated in Texas University, the museum is committed to the arts and cultures of Japan, China, and Southeast Asia.
