Houston Restaurants You Need To Have On Your Food Delivery List

Houston

Renowned for its diversity and variety, Houston’s restaurant scene has experienced struggles since the beginning of the pandemic under imposed closures and restricted occupancy meant to foster social distancing.

However, some have succeeded in providing takeout and delivery dishes. This means you can still experience several restaurants from the comfort of your home. Nonetheless, this is unchartered territory for many. Here’s a list of Houston restaurants you should have on your delivery list.

The Burger Joint

The establishment opened a second location recently, so residents from Heights won’t need to drive to Montrose to obtain their burger fix. It’s worth noting that each location has its pickup instructions. Montrose residents need to pick up their orders on the restaurant’s back curb along California Street.

You can order by phone or online. If you’re picking from the Heights restaurant, you’ll find north-facing spots reserved for curbside along the Burger Joint.

Crawfish & Noodles

The acclaimed Viet-Cajun Crawfish & Noodles restaurant is adapting to the existing limitations by providing to-go orders. Orders take place from Monday –Friday, 5 p.m -9 p. m, Saturday, and Sunday from 12 noon to 9 p.m.  You can check out its menu on their website and send a message on their Facebook messenger, giving time for pickup and make of pickup car. You can order by phone; this is easier.

Ramen Tatsu-Ya

Since its launch in 2012 in Austin, Ramen Tatsu-Ya is handling to-go orders online for the first time. Ensure you order from the Houston location. You’ll receive an approximate time for pickup and you’ll hear orders being called out from the restaurant’s deck. You’ll also find a host taking walk-up orders.

Phat Eatery

The Malaysian restaurant offers curbside take-out with a 15% discount on all takeout orders. You’ll enjoy the Malaysian flavors, which derive their influence from Thai, Indian, and Chinese cuisines. You’ll want to try the Beef Rendang and Roti Canai starter from Phat Eatery.

Alice Blue

The restaurant, located in Heights, serves a menu for curbside pickup. It delivers within a three-mile radius and you can order from the menu, which includes roast chicken, pastas, and fried chicken. You’ll want to order some of the delectable homemade breads. Make sure you try the crispy breadsticks or sourdough from Alice Blue.

Mezza Grille

If you’re yearning for some elegance or are celebrating an anniversary, Mezza Grille provides a range of steak and seafood options, for instance, scallops, filet mignon, and crab cakes. You can also order from the salads comprising various wraps, proteins, and pastas.

Peli Peli

Houston’s South African restaurant is providing its entire menu for delivery and pickup. The restaurant has also come up with $10 boxed meals, which comprise options such as a steak sandwich, BBQ Chicken, and Mamba Chicken. All dishes come with an option of two side dishes, for instance, mashed carrots and wild rice. Peli Peli issues free delivery for bulk orders, so order for your office.

Roma Ristorante

The Italian restaurant provides delivery service through UberEats, Favor, and GrubHub within three miles. Roma Ristorante is also providing a pre-fixe menu for pickup costing $19 and $29 for lunch and dinner respectively.

The lunch choice offers two courses, with the first being an option of meatballs with rice balls. The entrée on the other hand, provides an option of a salmon filet or mushrooms. The dinner choice has more entrée items from which to choose, including lasagne or shrimp with smoked gnocchi.

Final Thoughts

If you’re wondering whether you can still enjoy takeout from your favorite Houston restaurant, you have an opportunity to order some of your favorites and enjoy them from the comfort of your home.
