How To Get Pokemon Go In Your Neighborhood

In addition to the continually crashing servers, a major complaint players make is lacking Pokemon Gyms and PokeStops in rural settings and remote areas.

The game is best played in a region that offers the means to level up, gather balls, and potions. However, if you reside in an area with few Gyms or Pokestops, the game loses its appeal fast.

Previously, Niantic Labs derived the PokeStops and Gyms from their first game Ingress. As a result, areas that lacked an active Ingress player saw underrepresentation following the release of Pokemon Go. Fortunately, there’s a way to get PokeStops in your neighborhood. Here’s how.

How to Request PokeStops

Developer Niantic has developed a system to request Pokemon Gyms and PokeStops in your area. You simply need to visit the site’s support page and submit your request by filling out a ticket.

The form helps you request the inclusion of a local business or landmark to the Pokemon Go’s map. Bear in mind that the developer doesn’t reveal the criteria it uses to establish whether it accepts a request or not or how fast it might turn an appeal around.

It helps to identify the latitude /longitude and address of the location you are requesting. You can obtain this information via your Google Map app.

On the support page, there’s a section for the precise name of the Pokestop. This probably helps pinpoint a problem with an already-established Pokestop. Nevertheless, you can offer some ideas on what the Developer can call your proposed Pokestop.

It’s important to note that the response will probably take numerous weeks because of the volume of requests received by the developer. You should also beware that the form only provides the option of business as a Gym or Pokestop.

Players can also use the form to inform the Developer of a Gym or PokeStop that’s situated in a dangerous area or report on a Pokestop that’s on your personal property.

Removing Pokestops

The same form can also allow organizations and businesses to request the removal of their location from Pokemon Go. A number of museums and businesses have complained that the game is either harmful or inappropriate to their business.

If you are attempting to remove your home, business, or location from Pokemon Go, make sure you reveal that you are the official representative or owner.

What You Should Know about Pokemon

Regardless of whether it’s your first time to catch a Pokemon or you have been collecting the creatures since childhood, you’ll get an introduction to the game fast. Initially, you can only catch Nintendo’s original Pokemon lineup.

Pokemon come in various shapes, types, and sizes. Of the more than 100 available for capture, you will notice creatures of the Psychic, Fairy, among others. Bear in mind that every geographical area has a particular Pokemon type and some creatures tend to be more difficult to locate than others are.

Don’t be discouraged if you keep finding the same group. You’ll need to travel around your area to locate all the Pokemon.

Final Thoughts

Do you reside in a place that lacks sufficient Pokestops? Don’t worry. You can request new gyms and Pokestops easily. If you don’t know where to start, use this guide.
