Beer drinking is certainly one of Dallas’ best loved activities, which is hardly surprising considering the amount of excellent quality breweries in and around the city.
If there’s one thing the Texans love, it’s a flamed grilled barbecue; and there’s no better way to enjoy one than with a nice cold beer.
These 5 breweries in Dallas TX have built up a reputation over the years for providing some of the best homebrews in the state.
The Deep Ellum Brewing Company
According to the Deep Ellum Brewing Co.’s manifesto – or beerfesto as they like to call it – you should never waste your time drinking watered down, gimmicky rubbish. Along with this statement they pledge never to serve a bad beer in any form. John Reardon, the founder and chief of the company is somewhat an advocate of good beer and is striving to get the name of Deep Ellum’s finest out to the world. The Deep Ellum Brewing Co. is now one of the most popular breweries in the state.
Community Beer Company
The Community Beer Company is located in Downtown Dallas and is a state-of-the-art brewery with equipment and features that other establishments would die for. One of the best things about the Community Beer Company is their activity calendar, which includes: beer school, art shows, concerts and even pre-AAC sporting events.
Grapevine Craft Brewery
As stated on the Grapevine Craft Brewery website, “beer is more than just a consumer product; it’s an expression of community.” North Texas is becoming very well-known for local brews, and part of the credit certainly belongs to the Grapevine Craft Brewery. With a hefty selection to choose from; a very friendly atmosphere; and the best attitude towards the beer-making craft in the business, Grapevine is definitely worth visiting.
Gordon Biersch
The Gordon Biersch brewery was originally established in San Jose over 25 years ago. It has since gone on to open up new establishments and restaurants all over the United States, with one right here in Park Lane, Dallas TX. The flavour of their beer is that of dark roasted Munich malt, which accounts for 75% of the grist mill.
Humperdinks Restaurant
Unlike the other establishments, Humperdinks Restaurant is a micro-brewery that creates beers specifically for seasonal changes. It has been awarded numerous medals over the years at the Great American Beer Festival, and helped Dallas TX gain international attention as a hotspot for quality brews.
