1. State Fair of Texas

2. MetroPCS Dallas Marathon

Typically, the event attracts almost 6,000 participants cheered by over 300,000 fans along the marathon tracks in December.

This isn’t just a marathon; the charitable race’s proceeds go to the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital. The marathon begins downtown and highlights the best segments of Dallas, passing through the center of numerous neighborhoods with their entertainment style throughout the day.
3. CityArts Festival
This event takes place toward the end of May at Fair Park. The family-friendly event features a range of entertainment, activities, and exhibitions. The festival brings together some of the leading artists in different genres and features incredible performances, movie sessions, and culinary demonstrations.
The must-attend event is one of the most popular in Southwest where attendees enjoy live performances and demonstrations from prominent chefs.
4. Deep Ellum Arts Festival
The three-day event, which usually takes place in early April, allows you to experience art in its most diverse state. Throughout the event, Main Street Dallas becomes a venue for a massive street festival.
The event attracts over 200 artists and hundreds of performing artists and songwriters who display their skills in the different stages set out for the event.
Here, attendees have a unique opportunity to buy various art pieces, including paintings and sculptors. Deep Ellum Festival allows attendees to stroll through cutting-edge art and buy the works of muralists, wood and leather crafters, as well as specialized artists.
