Summer Showcase

This concert series takes place in the Meadows Courtyard from May to September.  Summer Showcase features regional musicians.

Besides having a good time, the series offers songwriters a platform to present their original compositions to a diverse and receptive Lubbock audience.

Traditionally, showcases occur on Thursday evening from 5:30:7:30pm. The best part about Summer Showcase is that it is free to the public. This event will run from June through August and will take place in Lubbock.

Texas Folklife Festival

This is the greatest cultural celebration in Dallas. Over 40 various cultural groups were represented to the festival.

This event gathered over 40 Texas cultures to commemorate their heritage through artisanship, music, and food. Music plays an essential part in this signature event. Music is a necessary part of Texas Folklife Festival and the variety will certainly appeal to any traveler or Texan.

Celebrate Highland Village

Celebrate Highland Village offers an opportunity to embrace summer with activities for various ages. The event starts at the center of Highland Village with a run through the city.

While there, expect to spend your evening at Pilot Knoll Park, where you’ll enjoy music, food, and fun activities. The event closes with a magnificent fireworks show from the shores of Lake Lewisville.

Texas Heritage Songwriters Hall of Fame Awards Show

Also called TxHSA, this event took place from June 21-22 and featured the likes of K.T. Oslin and Jessi Colter.

This event aims to honor and celebrate songwriters who’ve helped shape the music culture in Texas. In 2006, TxHSA developed the yearly Hall of Fame Awards Show. The show occurred along with Texas Independence Day in honor of the state.
