Dallas Museum of Art

Situated in the Arts District, Dallas Museum of Art (DMA) has an impressive collection with over 22, 000 pieces including art of the Pacific, Americas, and Asia. The museum’s collection dates from the third millennium BC to the present day.

Its groundbreaking instructive programs and dynamic exhibition policy further define this major museum. DMA welcomes over 500,000 visitors annually and provides 8-10 unique exhibitions annually.

You’ll also discover it has a diverse range of programming such as a monthly Late Night, during which the museum remains open until midnight. Ensure you visit the café restaurant for lunch.

On-site you’ll also find the Museum Store, featuring unique gifts and jewelry. This summer, the museum plans to host various exhibitions such as Michael Borremans: As sweet as it gets. This exhibition will run until July 5.

The exhibition is the first to assemble the artist’s drawings, paintings, and films from the past 15 years in one survey. The exhibition, which began in March, comprises rarely exhibited and recognized works from public and private collections in the United States and Europe.

Another exhibition to look forward to is Map Paintings by Frank Bowling, which began in February and runs through August. The exhibition will underscore the museum’s acquirement of its first painting by the artist.

Meadows Museum

The Meadows Museum hosts one of the most comprehensive and largest Spanish art collections. The museum offers a distinctive resource for local educational institutions, the Dallas-Fort Worth community, and international visitors.

With an active tour program, educational outreach, and weekend family days, the venue plays a significant role as a cultural and educational center in North Texas. Throughout the year, you’ll find a series of unique exhibitions, public lectures, and gallery talks.

The leading art institution has an array of exhibitions planned for the summer. Some of the exhibitions to expect include The Abello Collection, which will run until August 2. This exhibition presents about 100 works by the likes of Francis Bacon and Salvador Dali.

The museum will also feature The Meadow Collects, which will highlight crucial moments in the history of the museum. The exhibition will run until August 2.

Crow Collection of Asian Art

The Crow Collection is committed to the cultures and arts of China, India, Japan, and Southeast Asia. Whether you seek a quiet reflection in a tranquil setting or simply wish to gaze at unique artworks, the collection offers an inspiring experience.

Situated in the heart of the Arts District, Crow Collection features rotating and permanent art exhibitions and offers yoga, wellness classes, and gallery talks. The museum’s gem is its spectacular sculpture garden, which hosts 15 historical and contemporary pieces.

During the summer, the museum will feature Japanese and Chinese Paintings from the Crow Collection. This exhibition will run until August 23 and examines paintings from Japan and China.

Another exhibition to look forward to is India: Art, Place, Time, an exhibition that features a range of choice works from the permanent art collection from India. The exhibition will further focus on a few important geographical areas and periods.
