Summer at Dallas Arboretum
This year, you can celebrate the excitement and beauty of summer with various activities for the entire family. You can also enjoy the vibrant color throughout the breathtaking garden. On May 16, the Dallas Botanical Garden will launch the event through July 31.
Ensure you join your family for the stunning floral displays, amazing discounts, exciting activities, and fun during the festival. The garden will also exhibit an incredible assortment of seasonal plantings.
The event will also feature Family Fridays, which comprise face painting, nature art, and a petting zoo. The Family Fridays will run from June 6-July 25. Kid-friendly activities will occur from 10 a.m. -2p.m. in the Pecan Grove.
Don’t miss the Dollar Days, which feature $1 general admission throughout the festival period. You’re also welcome to enjoy a picnic on the garden’s grounds. Visitors can also enjoy concert series that will take place on the Martin Rutchik Lawn.
Gates will open at 6 p.m. and music will play from 7-9p.m. The garden will close at the conclusion of every concert. Ensure you purchase your subscription packages early and enjoy great prices.
Mesquite Championship Rodeo
From June-August, you can enjoy the Mesquite Rodeo at the Mesquite Arena, east of Dallas. Over 200,000 visitors typically show up to experience rodeo events including steer wrestling, bull riding, barrel racing, bronc riding, and tie-down roping.
The rodeo’s a great activity for the entire family, complete with pony rides, mechanical bull, and Western store. Kids can also have fun chasing baby cattle. Enjoy a legendary experience at the air-conditioned arena, situated 15 minutes east of Dallas.
Enjoy your preferred rodeo events with your kids as you enjoy Texas BBQ. Ensure you arrive early as doors open at 6:30 p.m. While there, you could also browse the boot boutique and gift shop. For convenience, you can identify the competitions on video boards at the venue.
Wildflower Art & Music Festival
Wildflower! Arts & Music Festival is a global music event that attracts more than 70,000 attendees. The three-day event has become one of the most anticipated and recognized music festivals in North Texas.
Managed and produced by the Richardson city, the festival program includes two indoor and four outdoor performance stages. The stages will feature regional, local, and headliner bands, interactive exhibits and displays, as well as the Kidz Korner. The event is set to take place from May 15-17.
While there, you can enjoy an exciting and eclectic atmosphere at the MarketPlace where you’ll find distinct and must-have items.
