Eventbrite
When you want to know more about what events are going on in Houston TX or Dallas TX, Eventbrite can help. With this app you can search for anything from concert listings to local street parties. If you ever feel lost for ideas, simply type in your ZIP code and press the search button and you’ll be presented with a list of local events. You can even use Eventbrite to make online bookings.
Moovit
Moovit is an app that collects real-time information about public transportation based on your location. After collecting data it will determine which routes and services are the best, providing ETA’s to help make scheduling easier. It also provides easy access to transit route maps.
Google Maps
Google Maps is one of the most versatile mapping apps available. When used with a smart phone it can be hooked up to your satellite navigation system, allowing you to type in directions and have a pointer guide you to your destination while you walk or drive. Other useful features include, traffic reports, search functions, and step-by-step directions. Google Street View can also be incorporated into Google Maps. This feature lets you zoom in to certain areas and look at photos of the roads.
Foodspotting
With an abundance of barbeque grills in Dallas TX and Houston TX, it can be difficult to know where to start. Foodspotting will show you what food joints are within your vicinity and features user photos of dishes so you know exactly what to expect.
